One ticket to GothamJS, a one-day, single-tracked JavaScript conference held on July 14th, 2012 in New York City.

Venue

GothamJS will be held at the amazing NYIT Auditorium on Broadway, a fantastic small venue for both the speakers and the attendees. Like the name says, its right on Broadway, a great location in the city.

Speakers

We will have approximately eight presentations, featuring expert JavaScript developers such as Douglas Crockford, Kyle Simpson, Lea Verou,and Michal Budzynski. Each presentation will be about 30 or 40 minutes long. Check out our web site (www.gothamjs.com) for the complete, up-to-date, information.

Audience

Our audience will be fully-engaged members of the New York JavaScript developer's community. Our presentations will be loaded with code and technical content. Marketing-based content have been sniffed out and booted from consideration.

Food and Drink

GothamJS will provide continental breakfast, including juice, and coffee, and an afternoon snack (cookies, brownies, fruit and healthy snacks). We will also provide a sandwich lunch. If you want to go out to eat, no worries, the area surrounding the Auditorium is packed with great lunch choices, everything from street vendors to great restaurants.

We will also have an attendee/speaker party with beer, wine, and food, presented by Bloomberg after the presentations (starting around 6:00 PM for a couple of hours). After that, there are some great bars nearby where we can continue the unwinding afterwords.

There will also be a pre-conference party Friday night, hosted by the Gilt Groupe, in their swanky new offices.

We plan to record all the presentations, and make the videos available online. A few people from the crowd might get on the videos, too. So, if you are wanted by the mob or an ex-wife, or skipping work, wear a disguise.

Wireless Access and Power

The venue promises excellent wireless access (they market to high tech events, so they know what we need). There are numerous plugs located along each wall of the theater, and under the first couple of rows of seats. We will also provide several power strips to run down a few rows, but not all of them. Power outlets should be available, but charge you battery beforehand, just in case you can't reach a plug for a few hours.

T-Shirts

Yep, we will have t-shirts. Our graphic artist is working on a cool design right now. Just let us know which type you want when you register.

Cancellation and Transfers

If you must cancel for any reason, you must notify us 30 days prior to the event. You will receive a refund of the amount you paid minus a $75 processing fee.

Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable, but are transferable. Confirmed and paid attendees who do not attend are liable for the entire fee.

To cancel or transfer, send us an email to admin at gothamjs.com. For transfers, include the name and email address of the new attendee.

In the unlikely event of cancellation of the event, the liability of the GothamJS conference is limited to the return of paid registration fees.
